Pretrial Probation for Scientist Charged With Open and Gross Lewdness and Charges of Disorderly Person and Trespass Dismissed
In May of this year police officers responded to a call for a man masturbating in his car on a college campus. The officers approached the car and observed the man sitting in the driver’s seat without a shirt or pants on. The person making the 911 call identified the individual and graphically described the act. Charges of open and gross lewdness under G.L. c. 272 section 16, disorderly conduct under G.L. c. 272 section 53 and trespassing under G.L. c. 266 section 120 were filed. Attorney Stephen Neyman was hired to represent the man. Today, we got the trespass and disorderly person charges dismissed. Our client was given pretrial probation pursuant to G.L. c. 276 section 87 for the open and gross charge. This will be dismissed in a few months.
