Man Held Under 58A Dangerousness Released After Successful Bail Appeal
Before we were retained our client was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm under G.L. c. 269 section 10a. He was identified as a gang member who was likely seeking revenge for the killing of one of his gang. The district attorney’s office convinced a judge to hold him under the Massachusetts dangerousness statute, G.L. c. 276 section 58A. Attorney Stephen Neyman was hired. Our first order of business was to get him released. After a bail appeal the judge agreed that our client should not be held. He was released earlier today.
