Charges of Indecent Assault and Battery Against Construction Company CEO Reduced to Assault and Battery and to be Dismissed
Last fall a well known builder was at a sporting event. He was intoxicated, loud, boisterous and aggressive. His actions drew the attention of many patrons and a few police officers on duty at the game. One of the officers observed the man grab two women by the buttocks and walk away. The women did not know the man. They became extremely upset. The officer who witnessed the incidents stopped the man and arrested him. He was charged with two counts of indecent assault and battery in violation of G.L. c. 265 section 13H. That is a felony in Massachusetts. Attorney Neyman was able to convince the district attorney’s office to reduce the charges to a misdemeanor, assault and battery under G.L. c. 265 section 13A and to continue the matter without a finding (CWOF). All charges will be dismissed in a few months.
