Charges of Domestic Assault and Battery Against Non-Citizen Physician Dismissed
Our client is a physician with a thriving practice in the Boston area. In March of this year police responded to a 911 call at his girlfriend’s home. In the 911 recording the police could hear our client attempting to enter her apartment while she, the alleged victim, was yelling that “he just pushed me”. The police arrived to find the woman crying in her bedroom with our client standing in an adjacent room. He was arrested and charged with domestic assault and battery in violation of G.L. c. 265 section 13M. The defendant is not a citizen so anything short of a dismissal or an acquittal would destroy his citizenship efforts. Today, Attorney Neyman succeeded in getting the case dismissed.
