Watertown

Located just west of Cambridge, Watertown was among the earliest settlements in Massachusetts. It is a middle-class community that some consider an affordable alternative to Boston and some of the closer small towns, like Cambridge. Among the points of interest in the city is the Watertown Arsenal, which was a working military installation for nearly 180 years before the Army sold it to the city, and the Perkins School for the Blind, whose alumni include Helen Keller. Watertown is also locally known for hosting the country’s third-largest population of Armenian Americans. Watertown is served by the Waltham District Court at 38 Linden Street in Waltham, which also serves residents of Weston.

Criminal defense attorney Stephen Neyman has represented many people from Watertown and other parts of Middlesex County who were accused of serious crimes. In the Waltham District Court, we have defended charges of domestic violence, weapons violations, drug possession, drug sales, OUI, theft, burglary, assault, sex crimes and requests for restraining orders. We also handle defense of people accused of violating their probation. If you are charged with a probation violation, do not think it will be easy to defend just because the violation was minor or not technically a crime. In fact, probation violations can trigger a harsh sentence for the crime that created the violation in the first place, which means people can go to prison for relatively minor offenses. We always recommend that you have an experienced attorney represent you at probation hearings.

If you’re accused of a crime in Watertown or anywhere in greater Boston, you should call the Law Office of Stephen Neyman right away. Time is vital in criminal cases, because letting time go by can mean losing chances to defend yourself as completely as possible. Evidence and witnesses can vanish and deadlines to make motions or challenge evidence can pass quickly. The help of a defense attorney can also be vital if you know you will be interrogated by police officers, who understand very well that they will be able to take fewer liberties if you have a lawyer by your side. Stephen Neyman has more than 20 years of experience in criminal defense law and is a former prosecutor, so he has the experience and legal expertise to defend even the most serious case. We believe everyone, no matter what the accusation, deserves a strong defense to the charges against them.

The Law Office of Stephen Neyman offers free phone consultations to potential clients. You can set one up or learn more about us by sending us a message online or calling 617-263-6800. Watertown residents can also drop by our downtown Boston office, conveniently located directly down the Mass Pike. To get there by car, take the turnpike east all the way into the city, then take the left exit for Interstate 93. Immediately take exit 24A for South Station. At the fork, keep left for Atlantic Avenue and merge onto that street, then make a left onto Pearl Street. That street will take you through Post Office Square, and then you can make a right onto Congress Street. Our office is on the right at 50 Congress Street. Using public transit, take bus 504 from Watertown Yard to the intersection of Federal Street and Franklin Street downtown
