Charges of Soliciting a Prostitute (Sex for a Fee) Dismissed Prior to Arraignment
Our client is a software engineer working in Massachusetts under a work visa. A few months ago he responded to a listing on the internet for sexual services for a fee. The listing was in fact a sting operation being run by a Massachusetts human trafficking task force. Our client agreed to meet the purported prostitute at a designated location. When he did he was surprised to find out that the prostitute was actually an undercover police officer. Our client was summonsed for and arraignment charging him with soliciting a prostitute also known as sex for a fee in violation of G.L. c. 272 section 53A. Attorney Neyman was hired. We had our client entering and complete a prostitution awareness course online. That, coupled with character references, academic accolades and a successful employment history or enough to convince the District Attorney’s office to agree to dismiss the case prior to arraignment.
