Charges of Leaving the Scene of an Accident With Property Damage Against Commercial Truck Driver Dismissed Prior to Arraignment
Our client is a commercial truck driver with routes throughout the country. In May of this year he was involved in an alleged road rage incident where he deliberately struck another car with his truck. The driver of the other vehicle immediately called the police. Our client was charged with leaving the scene of an accident with property damage in violation of G.L. c. 90 section 24. Fortunately our office was retained in time to investigate these allegations prior to the arraignment. Our investigator located security videos showing that the other party had clearly lied. We presented these videos to the District Attorney’s office and the judge prior to the arraignment. All charges were dismissed before our client was arraigned. Had he been arraigned his job would have been in jeopardy.
