Charges of Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon Against Restaurant Chain Owner Dismissed
Our client owns a chain of restaurants throughout the Northeast. In January of this year he got into an altercation with two individuals near his home. The two individuals were insulting our client about his ethnicity. Our client verbally defended himself and did everything he could to avoid physical contact with these people. Nevertheless, these individuals became increasingly violent and threatened our client. Consequently, and in response to the physical attack, our client brandished a gun in self-defense. The two assailants fled and contacted the police. Both of these individuals provided false narrative to the police resulting in our client being charged with two counts of assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon, G.L. c. 265 section 15B and threatening to commit a crime, G.L. c. 275 section 2. Attorney Neyman was hired. Today, all charges were dismissed.
