Weymouth

The South Coast town of Weymouth has an estimated population of 54,005, making it one of the larger cities in greater Boston. Weymouth started life in the 1600s as the Wessaguesset Colony, but the colony soon failed due to disease, lack of adequate supplies and attacks by natives. The original settlers moved back to England, and a new wave of settlement established the town of Weymouth about seven years later. The town’s famous sons and daughters include Abigail Adams, who was born in the city; Thomas Watson, assistant to Alexander Graham Bell; and architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Weymouth residents use the Quincy District Court, at 1 Dennis F. Ryan Parkway in neighboring Quincy.

The Law Office of Stephen Neyman regularly handles business on behalf of Weymouth residents at the Quincy District Court. This is one of the busiest courts in greater Boston and handles nearly every kind of crime. Our office has represented people in this court who were accused of violent crimes, including domestic violence as well as armed robbery and other serious crimes; drinking and driving; theft and burglary; weapons violations; and all type of drug crimes, including crimes involving marijuana and prescription drugs. All of these are criminal charges that can carry serious consequences, so we like to be involved in any pre-trial hearings in the district court, even if the case will later move to Norfolk Superior Court.

In fact, if you’re accused of a serious crime in Massachusetts, experts recommend that you get experienced legal help as soon as possible. Most people simply don’t have the time or the experience to effective represent themselves in criminal matters. Perhaps even more importantly, almost nobody facing criminal charges has the emotional distance of a professional. Without those things, defendants are far more likely to make mistakes that can set back their cases or lose them an opportunity to mount the best possible defense. Criminal defense attorney Stephen Neyman has more than two decades of experience in Massachusetts criminal law, and is a former prosecutor. He knows the law as well as the court that will hear his clients’ cases, and he understands where to look for flaws in prosecutors’ cases.

If you’d like to learn more about our experience and how we can help, we invite you to contact the Law Offices of Stephen Neyman for a free phone consultation. You can reach us at 617-263-6800 or send us an email anytime. You are also welcome to visit our downtown Boston office, which is convenient for Boston commuters and Weymouth residents. To drive there, take Massachusetts 3A north/Bridge Street from North Weymouth and follow that route north until it merges with Interstate 93 north. Follow that highway into Boston and exit at South Station, exit 20. Continue straight off the ramp to Lincoln Street, turn right at Kneeland Street and follow that road when it turns left and becomes Atlantic Avenue. From Atlantic, turn left onto Pearl Street, continue to Post Office Square and turn right at Congress Street. By train, take the Greenbush Line from East Weymouth straight to South Station, or take bus 222 to Quincy Center Station and transfer to the Red Line, which will take you right to Downtown Crossing.
